I read in a parenting magazine about an aunt doing a "book club" with her niece so I think I'm going to try it with my twin nieces who are 7!
I know I could use a simple blog and have them respond to what I post in the comments... but is there any other software/platform that would be better suited out there?? I can only find stuff that helps organize book club meetings, etc.

Have you used goodreads? I've used it with my students, but not for a book club.

how about setting up on email for them, and then configuring it so that only you can send that address emails?

@evansjamie: Oh gosh of course! My sister wanted to combine typing practice though. I originally wanted to do written letters back & forth (I love mail! and doodles!) but I guess that's too low tech haha.

@scg00387: letters would be awesome! D'oh, I should have thought about typing practice, but we didn't learn to type at that age when I was in school.. Things sure have changed.
