This is just so exciting, I just had to share! I have had two female society finches for a year and a half now, I got a male in the summer and they laid clutch after clutch of the tiniest little eggs - think Cadbury mini eggs- and after 3 weeks they would never hatch so I would throw them out, well they laid eggs just after Christmas and they hadn't hatched and I was thinking I should throw them out and to my surprise, what do I come home to after work today?! But baby birds! There are at least five that I can count! Momma and Papa are switching out every five minutes, eating and then going and feeding their little mouths, they have the tiniest little peeps! I'm so excited!

The crazy TTC lady in me is a little jealous that my birds, after 8 months of trying, have had babies and I, on the other hand, after over a year of trying, have not, but still, I'm happy for the birds, and hopefully this will give me something to focus on and watch instead of thinking about TTC! Ha! I really hope they all make it, they seem to have great parents taking care of them!
