What do you guys do for your outdoor decorations?
I want sooo badly to put up lights and other pretty festive decorations, but have noooo idea where to start. I go look at all the lights/icicles etc and just get overwhelmed and leave

We usually wrap the two trees out front with mini lights and hang giant ornaments from the branches. Then we line the sidewalk with strings of big bulbs and put strings of mini lights in the bushes.
I don't know what your setup is, but start with a few strings of lights and outline the front windows of your house/apt. That's easy and you can do it from the inside, so you don't have to go outside in the cold to turn them off at night.

We have colored lights for the eave, wreaths for the doors and a set of white lighted spiral trees. We use a timer for the lights!

@stine_ciro: haha, your suggestion of lining the windows is ALL we do! And we only have two windows facing the front of the house, so that's all we've done, haha. I'd love to do outside lights, but I'm just not motivated enough to put them up/take them down!

Well usually I wrap lighted garland around our porch but we can't find it anywhere! we didn't put it up last year since we had a newborn and I have no idea where it would be, it's ridiculous! I really watned to decorate outside, so I told DH we are going the day after Christmas to hopefully get deals on outdoor decor!

We just have lights along the top of the house. Also a wreath on the front door. I wanted to do garland with lights around the front door, but I haven't done it yet. We paid to have our mailbox decorated, money goes to the Children's Hospital, that should be done by the 10th.

I'm all about decorating the house!! I put up lights on the roof, wrap our trees, line our yard, put up decor in the middle of the yard, etc. I love it!!!

We do icicle lights and this year I put up a mickey and Minnie Christmas sign that sticks into ground since my son is obsessed with mickey.
