Alright, don't laugh at me but I'm clueless here. LO was given a ton of adorable tights as hand me downs but I'm not sure how to make an outfit with them. They are the thicker ones, some are just plain gray, some have polka dots, some hearts on the knees or stripes, various colors etc. What goes best with these, certain skirts or dresses? What about shoes? I would want it to be more of a casual wear every day type outfit, is that possible? Help me out here

My LO LOVES wearing tights, she calls them "foot pants." I've found the best way to dress them daily is to get cotton dresses and wear them with boots:

@LuLu Mom: I love both of those dresses! She has boots similar to that style, but in brown. What about for the spring what type of shoes would you do then?

My LO is wearing tights today. And she wore them last week to daycare. I usually pair them with Mary Janes (she has plain black and plain red) or her grey shortie boots. But she's only 18 months.

I consider the Mary janes to be casual because of the rubber tipped toe and sole.

@Bao: oh and to what goes with them...we just do more casual dresses and skirts--stuff from Target, Old Navy, hand-me-downs, etc.

@Bao: I usually do Toms or less-dressy Mary Janes. Daycare it's hard because I want something she can easily play in. And if she's feeling funky we pull out her Converse and go hipster

I would do dresses, long shirts. I've even put tights on her with a romper. I thought it looked cute.

Anything, really. Tights are pretty versatile. We do lots of casual dresses and skirts and any kind of shoes, but mostly mary janes and boots.

For casual, everyday wear, I like to pair them with tunics. They're easier to wear under a snowsuit since they're not as long as dresses.

I love LO's see kai run gold maryjanes with tights because they're cute but still built like sneakers. As far as patterns, I basically only buy basics so she can match them to dresses and skirts. I love cute patterned or striped tights but she doesn't really wear plain solid outfits that would go. If I had some already that I really wanted her to wear I'd look for solid cotton or denim dresses.

Anything really goes with tights. LO wears dresses and tights everyday. Even boots with tights, or sneakers, mary janes, anything.

I love tights with boots or mary janes. We usually do dresses bc. bottoms tend to fall off LO, but shorts + tights + boots are such a cute combo!

Anything! I love mixing patterns. Play around and layer! Mine wear tights with skirts, tees, and cute sweaters, dresses, with high top sneakers, with buckle shoes...Kid clothes are fun
