My 7.5 month old LO loves to sleep on his belly...i was just wondering if he'll outgrow this when he starts sleeping in a toddler bed (which obviously won't be a while...lol)

LO started being okay with sleeping on her back around 1 year. As far as I can tell, she side/back sleeps about 70% of the time.

@Weagle: oooh so there is light at the end of the tunnel! not that there i think there is anything wrong to belly sleep as a toddler, but i love looking at my LO's peaceful face as he sleeps (i can't really see that when he sleeps on his belly...lol)

@butterbean: my lo did.she started belly sleeping around 7.5. Now she's back to back.

@locavore_mama: we tried putting our LO on his back and it lasted for a whopping 2 minutes before he started crying...did you have to gradually transition to back sleeping? or did your LO just roll over onto his/her back?

@butterbean: It is so sweet to watch them sleep. I wouldn't force it though. Sleep is too precious to mess with.

@butterbean: We always put her down on her back. Around 7.5 months when she started STTN she rolled over onto her tummy. Lately she just stopped rolling to her stomach!

DD started sleeping on her belly at 6ish months when we stopped swaddling. Now she mostly sleeps on her side, though I think she's like her mama and sort of spins around all night long.
