So, prior to having my baby, one of the things my husband and I agreed on, was that we would never let our baby sleep with us.

Well here we are week 2 and LO will not sleep at night unless we are holding her. We try time and time again to calm her to sleep and then put her in her bassinet, but each time, she lays by herself for between 5-30 minutes before wailing. We have been ending up sitting in the glider or recliner with her and comforting her, and when we are holding her she will sleep for 2-3 hours at a time. I will also put her in bed with me in the morning when I am half awake, watching the news, and this morning she stayed asleep from 5:30-8:30a.m. Co-sleeping is looking more and more appealing, but I'm still nervous. I know there are safe ways to go about it.

So, just figured I ask about anyone else's experience with co-sleeping. Pros/ cons, at what age did your child start sleeping with you? at what age did your child stop sleeping with you? how did you get your child to transition to sleeping by themselves? What was your set-up?
