Good for him - that's awesome!

Our State Rep who is running for Governor announced he was gay several months ago, and what I loved most was that the main response he got in our state was sort of a shoulder shrug as most people thought he had come out years ago....even though he represents a much more conservative portion of the state, his orientation doesn't matter as much as other qualities.

Of course, I live in one of the least religious and most liberal states in the country; so it’s less of an issue here while still being more of a real issue in other places.
