I had a filling on the left bottom side of my mouth replaced on Monday without novocaine. As soon as I left the dentist's office the left side of my mouth was slightly numb and swollen. I called the office and the dentist told me he didn't know what it could be from. I chalked it up to holding my mouth open really wide for 15 minutes straight. The numbness was gone within an hour and the swelling was gone yesterday morning.
Yesterday and today that side of my mouth has been sore. I'm thinking it's probably also from holding my mouth open but I'll call the dentist tomorrow if it doesn't go away. Has anyone else had this happen? What do you suggest?
It sucks but I think you can use Motrin, no? I can't remember how long it is sore fore but it shouldn't be too long. I think seeing as you got it done Monday, i'd give it until Friday, but i'd def take some pain killers until then!
