DD is an EBF 10 week old. Today I noticed this blister(?) on her lip. It appears to be filled with air or clear liquid. It does not seem to bother her. It is tricky to photograph—this is the best I could get!
Anyone experience this/know what it is?

@Jess1483: Poor little sweet! Looks like a blister from a bad latch to me.

@Jess1483: My DS would get something similar from sucking too hard (* breastfeeding, bottle feeding, or paci use). His pediatrician identified for me when he was 3 mos along. It may look like a canker sore, but it is more of a friction blister. Perhaps, the one on your DD is either caused by an improper latch onto the breast or vigorous sucking on a paci (binky)?

@crazydoglady: @Kaohinani: Thanks, ladies. She doesn’t use a paci and seems to have a good latch (and is kind of lazy at the breast most of the time) but that was my assumption (a friction blister). BUT, it was short-lived. It’s already gone. So weird. Thanks!

@Jess1483: Great news! I am so glad to read that it is already gone. Infants have such fast cellular turnover and are so resilient.

@Jess1483: I actually get those every once in awhile. I love popping them!
