Unfortunately, changing the tile isn’t an option! Looking to freshen it up before we sell next year. I’m at a loss, it’s a small room and I feel like light colors make the tile look even dirtier and I’m not sold on dark colors. Anyone paint savvy with some advice?!

I actually like the tile! It’s retro but not crazy looking. You just need to go white on the walls so they fade back. Any color on the walls is competing and that’s too much happening in a small space.
Sherwin Williams Alabaster would be a great one to try! It’s white with a warm undertone which would work with the warm tile. A white with a blue undertone will make the tile look dirty/dingy like you were saying.

@Jennibenni: Thanks for the suggestions. When I originally looked at white, they had a grey undertone, which is why I think it was looking dingy but love the color you suggested!

I don't think the current color is bad, but would also suggest white. There are SO MANY shades of white out there, we just painted our basement Pearl White and I LOVE it.

@Mamag511: Did you know you can paint tile? I would paint all the off white tile, leave the black tile, and paint the walls something coordinating. I painted my kitchen backsplash, let me see if I can find a before and after.

@crazydoglady: That looks great! If we were staying in this house this is the route I would definitely take, but since we won’t be here long term, just going for a quick fix!
