I have the same feelings about nail polish as I do about pierced ears. I will gladly help my daughter with either when she is old enough to request it, herself.

We started with piggy paint at 2 1/2. I skip the thumb that she sucks though.

I'd do Piggy Paint on toes but wait until her hands aren't constantly in her mouth for fingers.

I am not on board until they could take care of it themselves, meaning apply and remove.

I started painting DD's toes with Piggy Paint when she was 2.
When she was around 2.5 she started asking for me to paint her fingernails.
I've done it a handful of times.

Not for me, thank you! Not until she starts doing it for herself and, even then, I might not let her have nail polish.... I don't know..... we will see! When she moves out??!

My DD asked for it around age 3 after seeing some classmates with it. Suncoat girls makes a water based polish that peels off easily (a little too easily) and we use that and piggy paint. Suncoat Products Fairy Glitter Girl Non-Toxic Nail Polish

Maybe 3 or 4. Once she can sit still and doesn't stick her hands in her mouth constantly. I probably won't do them until she asks for it.
