So we hit a place of needing to sleep train our 6 month old. We cobed and I have nursed to sleep her whole life, but it wasn't working anymore. We didn't feel like we could leave her alone, so we decided to try parent attended CIO. My husband took night one. After bedtime routine I nursed her and then put her in the co sleeper. He just lay next to her, occasionally sushing and rarely giving a little pat.

After one hour she fell asleep. I still can't believe she put herself to sleep.

She never sounded scared, just some whining and fussing. I feel pretty good about our choice, although it was hard to get here.

Tomorrow I will be the one in the room...We are planning to slowly decrease support, so that by the end of the week we are doing checks. Fingers crossed, we are desperate!
