I just discovered DH and I have been using the Nosefrida backwards. For 7 months. I'm an idiot!! Anyone else? (BTW it did seem to work, even so!)

@maybebaby: backwards how? Because I have one too, and who knows... Maybe I've been using it backwards, too.

@Anagram: @chopsuey: Haha! We put the red thing over his nostril and sucked on the blue thing. 7 months, people.

@maybebaby: OMGGGGGG HAHAHHA thanks for the laugh.
Glad you figured it out!

@Pepper: Hahhahaha it really was. And I think DH and I both got the bug because we were totally sucking up his germs! Ughhh. @chopsuey: I'm glad
A friend of DH's who has two boys was over last night and a childless friend. The childless friend asked what it was, and DH mimed how to use it. The dad friend was like uh, dude. No. We youtubed it and the rest is history.

Hahaha that is hysterical!!!! I just cracked up as did dh.
How did you figure out you were doing it backwards?

@maybebaby: OMG seriously? You're supposed to put the blue part in the nose?? We've been using it backwards too!! I would just put the red on the outside of the nostril! Hahahahahahhahaha oh dear.

@hilsy85: Hahahah we had two of DH's friends over last night--one was a dad, the other not. The non dad was asking what it was, and DH showed him. The other dad was like...no.

So funny! (although I totally just google imaged it because I couldn't quite remember which side was which color and if we were using it right). It'll probably work better for you next time!

@lawbee11: Haha tell me about it!! That thing was...gross. It wasn't a pretty situation.
nectarine / 2054 posts
@MrsF: I think you're right, it was really hard to keep him still in order to aim the small red side on his nose!
nectarine / 2054 posts
@maybebaby: @MrsF: I almost can't wait till his nose is runny again! (not really though...)

Too funny. Glad you figured it out! Makes me when wonder what baby things we use incorrectly unknowingly...

@maybebaby: glad you got it figured out. Even the regular way sometimes doesn't work too well for me!

I can't get over the mental image of you guys struggling to fit the red piece with his nostril! Bahahaha

@maybebaby: Yay glad I caught this post! I have never used one before, so far the bulb has worked great for us.
honeydew / 7444 posts
LOL! I totally needed this laugh.
@Kimberlybee: The nosefrida is awesome, you should try it one day...properly.

@Freckles: LOL!!! I totally will go get one this week to have at home. The flu/cold season is far from being over.
honeydew / 7444 posts
@maybebaby: Actually, i shouldn't laugh. It took me many months before i realized that the two pieces "click" together. When i used the nosefrida, i had to hold the two pieces together so it worked properly. Seriously, i blame it on the sleep deprivation.
@Kimberlybee: I wish i had used it on LO during the infant stages. Now that LO is a toddler, she haaaates it and freaks out when i use it on her!

I did that too the first time I used it! But DH was like, I don't think that is how it works..ha!
persimmon / 1101 posts
Ha! I just used ours for the first time since she and I are both stopped up and seriously considered trying it on myself as well...that would definitely have been a fail! Glad you figured it out
