what would you do/give your pastor for this? we love our pastor but i'm kind of stumped for ideas. I looked on pinterest but most things seem a bit cheesy.

DH is a pastor. I think he would appreciate most a card/note thanking him for his ministry, with specifics. This "job" is often a thankless one so I know it makes him so happy when he knows concretely how he has impacted other people's lives

DH isn't a pastor but works in our church music ministry. Besides the note that @snowjewelz: mentioned, something like dropping off early AM Starbucks before their pre-service meeting or catering Wednesday night meeting (or any other evening meetings) are his favorite "thoughtful" things.

Yes a card would be wonderful. And maybe it's just me but I always think of the First Ladies/wives and the kids too. If you can swing it, I'd do a gift card for a local restaurant for dinner out.

I had no idea it was Pastor Appreciation Month! What a great way to thank them for all their heart. I think a gift card to a restaurant like @gingerbebe: suggested sounds great! Our pastor has 2 young kids so maybe we will do a gift card to Red Robin or something

Notes of appreciation, gift card (so many pastors are super underpaid), things for their kids.. If you're teaming up with other church members you could all contribute toward a splurge gift like a photo session, a family trip... one of my old pastors had a back problem but him and his wife were still using their 20+ year old mattress! We all pitched in to get him a temperapedic.
