We are in the market for new patio furniture. I think at first we just need to get a dining table and chairs. I've seen some nice sets with and without cushions. I guess my question is whether cushions are a hassle or if they are worth the comfort. Any ideas? Thanks!

We have the kind that are metal framed with a woven seat and back. Its an outdoor material so it's no big deal if it gets rained on. Very comfy too. I think it's a good compromise. My folks have hard chairs without cushions and they are less comfy for longer sits.

No cushions, because they blow around and get wrecked in the rain. We have the metal with the sling back/seats.

We have metal with the mesh seats. I'm not willing to pull in/store cushions.

I prefer cushions.... but probably only if it is a covered porch so you don't have to worry as much in the rain. I'd be too lazy for cushions out in the open.

We have cushions on our chaises. They are attached securely via thick velcro on the back through the chaises' slays. We haven't had any issues with the cushions blowing. Sometimes they have a bit of dust on them, but a swift sweep of the hands cleans it off. For us having cushions meet our outdoor furniture needs. We wanted a comfortable place to work outside on or laptops, read books and nap.

We have cushions. Definitely comfier than the alternative. I pull them inside if I know it's doing to rain, but don't always do it in time, and they're no worse for the wear.

Cushions. We just store ours in a bin on the deck and pull out when we need them.

Def without!!! Cushions are a pain and tear from sun damage. When it rains you can't use your set for days until it dries!

But we got it towards the end of the summer season (which is prob in like 2 weeks!) on clearance!

Cushions.
We bought this set a couple of years ago and just keep it covered when we're not using it.
