I got my period at three months post partum (EBFing).
Now, and five months pp, I have yet to have another period. I even took a hpt today just to make sure I wasn't preggo!
After getting your period post partum, did it take a while for it to regulate and become a more regular cycle? Is it possible just to get one period and then not get it again for a long time?

Mine has been so weird!!! Even with being on birth control. My DS is seven months old, and I didn't get it until he was done nursing. I have actually taken about four pregnancy tests because I was so nervous, but I'm not.
In terms of it disappearing, that hasn't happened to me.

I got mine at 7 months pp while I was still EBF. My cycle was regular but longer than pre baby. 40-42 days long.

I was mostly EBF until 11-months... and I didn't get my period at all throughout that time... and my period didn't come until 2-months after I stopped breastfeeding! Then it just started coming monthly again...

I got mine 2 months post partum and I'm EBF. Mine is very irregular.

I was EBFing and I got my period a month after my C-section and it was regular and heavy!

I got mine at 5 months, and at 13 months it hasn't regulated. I'm still breastfeeding frequently, and haven't conceived despite not preventing.

Mine is coming back... I started spotting around this time last month (3months pp) and this month I have a little more spotting along with the other normal stuff but it is far from a normal period so far so we will see!

I had spotting for a day between 6 & 8 weeks but got my first period at 8 months and got my second 35 days later. I've only had those two so far. The first day is crazy heavy and I get really hormonal & sick. Can't wait to go back on the pill when I'm done breastfeeding.

I got mine at 5 weeks postpartum (EBFing) and I have gotten it regularly though my cycle is shorter than it was before. I imagine it takes time to regulate.

I just want to make sure that it isn't "abnormal" for me to get my first period and then not have it again two months later.
For those of you who say your period was/still is irregular after baby, what are your cycles like? long? super sporadic?

15 days, 28 days, 40 days. Totally random. Fairly light and pain free, until this one, which I actually suspect to have been a chemical pregnancy. I also never experienced a drop in my milk supply until this last period. It's come back, but not quite as much as before.

At first it came every 28 days starting 3 months postpartum. Now, it keeps spacing out more and more (I am still breastfeeding).

@rainbow sprinkles I don't know the spacing exactly, but what makes it weird is the continuing spotting. After my period should be done, I'm still getting some red for the next week or so. Since I'm on the pill, it shows up every three weeks, but it just isn't what I would have thought it would be almost five months after I stopped nursing and almost 8 months after delivery.

I got mine while ebf at 2 months pp and it's been regular ever since.... I had read that it's very normal for it to be sporadic when it comes back while still breastfeeding. I just wasn't so lucky.

I'm all over the board. , I got my first period about 2 months post partum, I got another one about 15 days later, then after that one I got my period 20 days later. I feel like I'm constantly getting my period.

@Rainbow Sprinkles: Yes mine as all over the place. I got mine around 2months pp, and then it skipped a few months and started up again around 5months post partum. My doctor said this was normal since I am still breastfeeding
