UGH! This period is kicking my butt. I just stopped BC and this is my first period off of the pill. I just took ibuprofen, but it hasn't done anything yet. My periods were so much better when I was on BC. Hopefully I won't have too many months of these!
Is the first period always bad? Does it get better or will it always be like this? Lol.

Mine was horrific. I had to call out sick from work for 2 days! I'm not a big baby when it comes to cramps or headaches or TMI stomach issues but I was seriously out for the count. All I could do was curl up in a ball and watch Full House re-runs for 2 days.
I was on BC for over 10 years at that point, with no real breaks. It was so bad. Hang in there!! The next one wasn't NEARLY as bad!

I hate my period too! I always tell my husband that I wish I could be the next family of 19 kids and counting just so I don't have to deal with my period! (just kidding by the way) The first day of my period every month is horrible, Its usually a lay on the couch with a heating pad all day kind of ordeal.

My first period off the pill was pretty bad, but since then they have been so much better than I was expecting. So, odds are good that this is worse than they will be normally (hopefully). Mine were awful before going on the pill 8 years ago, but since going off, other than the first one, they haven't been that bad at all. I'm pleasantly surprised, and I hope yours follow the same! Well, and that you don't get too many, if you are TTC

Mine have been pretty brutal since I went off the pill last year. The first day is always one of those stay on the couch with my hot water bottle kind of days, like @lovelife: said.
I think it is doubly bad when you are ttc and every month you get pain AND disappointment together in one awful package.

Thank goodness! It sounds like it won't be as bad these next few months.
We haven't officially started TTC yet, but we are planning soon. Hopefully not too many of these period months are in my future!

My first one was pretty gnarly. I had horrible cramps during the entire TWW for that one... had awful, awful mood swings...I was a mess! Luckily, they calmed down and this most recent AF I had (I've been off BC since June), I had no symptoms! Like no cramping, no PMS. It was lovely! Hope it gets better for you!!

The cramps haven't been too bad for me - it's the spots!! I feel like i'm going through puberty again, not good!!
