the vasectomy thread got me thinking... do you have a plan for permanent birth control? I'm not sure what we will do and we have a lot of time to decide. Who knows, we may just stick with the pill
What is your plan?

Nope. No permanent birth control for either of us. And I don't take any hormonal BC.

We haven't discussed it thoroughly yet, but I think if I have a csection for our last kid, I'll get fixed at the same time. If not, DH will since it's a much less invasive procedure.

my MIL had a surprise baby 11 years after getting her tubes tied so I don't trust it, and there's no way DH would get snipped... so we'll just have to figure something out!

DH has agreed that he will get a vasectomy. But that's a long time from now. We're pregnant with baby #1 now. We definitely want 2 kids, but we might want a 3rd one eventually. We would probably wait several years after we think that we're done just in case. I would use the birth control pill during that time. I don't mind taking the pill.

Vasectomy for sure. My husband has always said he is happy to do it once we are done with kids.

I barely even have a choice in it; DH is determined to get a vasectomy as soon as we're done. He was one of four, plus two stepbrothers for a long time, so he's VERY set on not having too many. Granted, we were together for 8.5 years before TTC, and had no oops babies, but he'd prefer more certainty anyway.

I want DH to get a vasectomy, but that is years away, if he ever agrees. If not, it will just be the iud or other non hormonal methods.

I'll always be on hormonal bc because of endometriosis but I don't want any oops babies so....

Definitely a vasectomy, he is totally fine with the idea. We will wait a few years after we are "done" to make sure there are no regrets, and then snip!

My husband suggested getting a vasectomy. We talked about me getting my tubes tied but I decided it's not for me.
I struggled with IF for so long but I've always had a "well, maybe I could have kids..." in the back of my mind. Having my tubes tied would mean I really can't, and that bothers me more than having trouble conceiving.

DH is on board to have a vasectomy. We will probably wait until 2-3 years after we think we are done before doing anything though.

DH has agreed to get a vasectomy. Not sure on the timing though.

After we turn 40 I'm pretty sure WS will get a vasectomy. But we're done with kids! Just want to be totally sure before we schedule any surgery

We are undecided. If we decide to stop at 2, he will get a vacectomy. If we have a 3rd I will have my tubes tied during my c-section. I won't have it done after 2 since we aren't sure if we will be ready to be done with kids.

I voted neither, but I have no idea what we're gonna do when we're done w/ kids!

Vasectomy for sure. Least invasive, non hormonal and most easily reversible in a pinch. We'll wait a few years but I don't want to be on BC inn my 40's
