Do you have pet insurance you like? Are there different types? I'm hoping it is between 15-35 dollars a month? Does that sound right?

We pay $29.95/per dog monthly for Banfield's pet insurance plan. Covers all vaccs, 2 comprehensive exams, 1 annual dental cleaning (and all associated costs), and 10% off any additional services/medications.

We have healthy paws, but it's only for emergency care (no regular prevention stuff is covered). I pay $80/month for two dogs. Your cost will depend on the type and age of your animal. Cats are cheaper ;). I think I chose to pay a little more to have a better deductible/90% covered after. I like them because they have no lifetime cap (at least this was true when I signed up with them).
Only had to use it once for one of my dogs when she hurt her back and couldn't walk. I met my deductible easily, and while she ended up not needing surgery, they were great about processing my claim quickly to confirm that she'd be covered for surgery if needed. The surgery would have been in the thousands. I was pregnant at the time and didn't need that kind of stress!

I think petplan is also a good one? no personal experience.

We use VPI. I don't know what we pay, but coverage is similar to what @mrsjyw listed. We've had no complaints.

We have Petcare and pay $13.95 a month but we've had it since my dog was a puppy so I think our rates our lower (she is 12 now). It's for emergency care for specified injuries and illnesses and death. We like it - when she had a foreign body ingestion they paid our claim quickly. My coverage is up to $2500 and I got all of that with no fuss.

@StrawberryBee: thanks for the details. I am looking for emergency care. We had 3 family pets die in my extended family this week. So sad!! @gingerbebe: I like that price. @mrsjyw: thank you for the suggestion - they are the only ones I had looked into previously and found they don't do coverage in our state. My cousin works for that company and loves it.
Thank you, everyone, for the info.

@mrsjyw: is yours through petco?
We pay $67/month for a older dog. I'm thinking I'm getting ripped off. Can I cancel cover far mid year?

@regberadaisy: through Banfield at PetSmart. I think it's 33$ per dog now...
