Mine seems to prefer plastic, but i like the look of felt and wooden so much more!

We only have wooden food - it has all been gifts and we haven't purposely bought all wood or excluded other types, that's just the way it worked out.

My son doesn't care about the food specifically, he's into the microwave and toaster that we have. The micro is plastic, the toaster is wood and he has a mix of plastic, felt and wooden food.
I prefer the wooden, I actually "collect" it and display it on our coffee table in our playroom.

We only have felt food but E loves it...... although she answers it like a phone rather than pretending to cook or eat it. *shrugs*

@Freckles: Just saw your @! I made some donuts and we have a felt sandwich set from M&D. Our dog loves the felt food a little too much.

She likes wooden and plastic. We don't have any felt ... Too many dogs and it would just end up covered in fur

She likes plastic over felt. She doesn't have any wood yet but I did buy her M&D cutting food which I have not given to her yet!
