I think it would be cool to have a large world map mural like this in our playroom:

We have a lower ceiling in that room, though. It isn't even 8 ft high so this one will not work. Has anyone seen anything similar?

We have the huge map from IKEA in our living room...it's a bit flimsy as the construction to put it together is crap, so if you're going to go that route, I'd suggest getting a carpenter to make you a wood frame to stretch the canvas over. It needs a cross bar to make it a bit more stable.
Anywho, I think the map is a fabulous idea for a playroom, it encourages so much thinking and playing. We make little flags and track our travels together,

@MusicaV: @Oceanis723: @looch: The Ikea and FAO Schwartz ones are great alternatives to PBK. I'm definitely considering both, but maybe I'll just get the FAO one since you can order that online. Ikea isn't very convenient for me. Thanks ladies!
