LO is 17 months old and I still haven't left her overnight yet. DH has been bugging me about this for awhile so I told him for our chanukah gift for each other we'll get a hotel room for one night and have a date night and leave LO with my mom. This was decided months ago..... and the night is coming up this weekend.

I thought I'd be fine with it but I'm not. I trust my mom with LO, that's not the issue at all. I'm a SAHM so I'm rarely away from her. Also, the recent school shooting obviously got to me and made this very bad timing.

I'm not going to back out, I know that I have to leave her sometime for the sake of our marriage. I just really hope that I can have a good time and not be all mopey and sad the whole time.

Any tips?
