My grandma fell down their stairs and broke her hip. She's getting ready to go into surgery, and she's 78 so I'm terrified that she won't do well with the surgery. Please pray for her, and for my mom, and my grandpa.

@Arden: Praying for her! If it helps, my grandmother fell and broke her hip at 89. Aside from some funky side effects from the anesthesia, she recovered very nicely. I'm very hopeful that your grandma will recover nicely as well!

my grandma at 82 had hip replacement last year. She did great and was up and walking the next day. I hope your grandma is the same!!

Thinking of you! I work in assisted living and truly, 78 is SO young and hip surgeries are typically pretty easy recovery these days, much more so than it sounds. I'm confident she'll be just fine and recover wonderfully. I know it's so scary, hang in there!

DH's grandpa has fallen several times and broken various parts in the past couple years and he's always come out alright. He's 92. I bet your grandma does just fine!
