My dd (2.5 though) has been doing this awhile but as long as she's ok in the crib I leave her for awhile. She's starting to be ok with no nap but for a long time even just being alone and quiet in her crib helped her mood in the afternoon/evening.

Keep trying. My 3 year old has gone through several phases of a day or two not napping. But he always ends up making it up with a 3 hour nap the next day. It probably won't be he last time she tries to keep herself awake. There's just way too much fun to be had!

My nearly 3 year old sometimes goes a few days (up to a week once!) without a nap, but so far she always goes back to it. A friend told me her daughter (the same age) once went for about 3 months without napping, but she's gone back to it as well. I think the key is to insist on at least an hour of "quiet time" in the crib/bed, no matter what...even if it means letting them look at books or play with a doll or something to keep them there. DD (27 months) also will have a random day like this (sometimes I think maybe she fell asleep in the car for 5 minutes and then she's fine?!) and I just leave her in there.

For us no nap days started at maybe 23 months occasionally. Around 27 months no nap became more frequenting I started putting him down a bit later (130). By 31 months he napped about 50% of the time and again was napping g a but later (2) and by 34 months was done with the nap completely
