Any recommendations on nursing bras, styles? Nursing pillows? Carriers?
I'm helping a friend with her registry and prepping for baby. She's about a size 28, carriers most of her weight in her middle, and is not well endowed. I'm worried some of my typical recommendations (Ergo, Boppy, Target nursing tanks) might not be practical or there may be better options.

The My Breast Friend pillow is adjustable and also hooks on, so that might be an option for her. For carriers, a wrap is the most customizable by size, but if she wants something like an SSC, you can buy extender belts for them.

I'm plus size, though a bit smaller. I didn't enjoy BF, I think my size contributed and I gave up quickly (twice!). The boppy was mostly useless for me but I found the Brest Friend more user friendly.
I was able to wear the ergo, but it again it wasn't something I enjoyed.
It could be my size, or it could be my personality.

I have a similar body type (big belly, large rib cage with smallish breasts), but am a bit smaller than your friend and I really found the Anita nursing bras to be the best fit for me. This store carries a good selection of larger-sized bras (www.nurturedfamily.com) - but I highly suggest that she go to a specialty shop and get fitted.
She might also consider altering regular clothes/bras. Most tailors should be able to convert a regular bra to a nursing one if she already has a brand/style that she likes. This etsy shop (https://www.etsy.com/shop/BellyJeans) will convert regular pants and jeans to maternity ones with a demi band - it was probably the best thing I did for maternity clothes last time around. I hated the rest of my maternity jeans, but wore my converted ones for most of my pregnancy (until 8 months) and maternity leave.
I used a moby with no problems, but only for the first 2 months before LO didn't like it anymore. I'm also using a mei tai style carrier with no problems - since it ties instead of buckles, it's pretty adjustable for sizing. (http://www.amazon.com/Infantino-Sash-Carrier-Black-Gray/dp/B005C9ODQ6)
I used a boppy, but it wasn't particularly great. Mainly I just used a lot of pillows and a really great recliner that had nice wide arms to support the pillows. I'm plus size, but smaller than your friend (I'm a 20/22) and I used the Ergo with extender for a little while when she was small, but she quickly got too heavy for me! My Breast Friend was a god-send! SO SO much better than a boppy for me. I used it the entire time I breastfed my LO. I went to a specialty shop that sold all sorts of nursing bras, pumping parts, etc and I got Bravado Bras in their largest band size for my nursing bras. I used those along with Old Navy tami tops for nursing most of the time. I got a couple nursing tanks from Target, but they were a little snug on me, so I don't think they'd work for your friend.

Agree that the Breast Friend opens up a lot wider than the boppy. Because of the strap its also much easier to adjust the level/height.
I would also suggest maybe a backpack diaper bag or something with longer straps that stays on the shoulder better.

I'm a size 26. The twin/plus My Brest Friend was great. Motherhood sells plus size nursing bras, nursing friendly shirts and I think nursing tanks. (There are also tutorials on how to DIY a nursing tank from a regular one.)
I used a Boba wrap and a Beco Gemini with no problems at all. Now I use a Kinderpack with plus size straps for babywearing.

I found the best maternity clothing was on Zulily for some of the plus size stuff, but I would say altering non-maternity clothing may be the way to go, Torrid has good priced leggings etc.
I used motherhood for nursing bras with LO1, hated them, this time I used target and WalMart actually
