@MoonMoon: Thank you! I am so afraid to test on the 30th. Right now, I am living for Shrodinger's "baby" (* similar to cat) so I "could" be hypothetically pregnant OR not. I find a freakish amount of comfort in this ZONE and, honestly, loathe testing just to see a BFN. Ironically, I have no AF symptoms nor do I have BFP symptoms. This whole TWW has been "blah."

Ok, hereβs my update, cross posted from ivf board:
Ok, heard back. I had called two weeks ago when I thought I was starting AF, but it was actually only spotting for another week after that. When I went today, they were looking at my initial calendar, but then when they realized that I am actually only on CD8 (not 15), we are going to do another lining check next week and then transfer the following week, Iβm thinking the 7th.

@LAZB: Oh, wow! Thank you for updating. Please, keep us in the loop as to what they find next check. You have been in this for the long run. So much love and luck
sent your way ... You have had a difficult path up until this point. I am so hopeful for your
rainbow.

@Kaohinani: thank you! And now disregard my last update, they called back again, and transfer is on for Friday the 4th!

As for me, I am hoping to test on the 30th (hopefully, without the level of anxiety I usually feel at the time). I may wait untul 18 dpo if I don't feel ready, IDK. In any case, I welcome all of the good luck, well wishes, hopes, and prayers you all can muster since, at this minute, I have NO concrete "plan" moving forward. DH is not "ready" for undertaking IVF and the RE only afforded us ONE IUI. I am physically, mentally, and spiritually lost in the next steps and may have to abandon all cause ... which makes me horribly sad. I prefer to think that (until AF shows) I have a chance. Thank you, all for being amazing -- Oh, and fingers [triple crossed if ever possible] to everyone TTC on this board.

@LAZB: @paranundrum: Thank you. I wish the same for the both of you ladies.

@paranundrum: Thanks. I think it looks pretty as well. Hopefully, it isn't just the Crinone causing elevated temps.
grapefruit / 4144 posts
@paranundrum: Exactly! (* I love that you understand my logic.) Hypothetically, I "may be" or "may not be" pregnant simultaneously, until proven otherwise. The HPT would be the "proof" as to whether or not ShrΓΆdinger's baby exists or not but the chart is indicative of its possible existence.
I'm too chicken
to test for proof of existence so, I will stay in my happy "ShrΓΆdinger" bubble of dual realities.

Is this correct?

@Sams Mom: Thanks, love. I hope it actually amounts to something good!
@MoonMoon: Thank you! I'm hoping for the absolute best. That OPK looks lovely! I will add you to the roster for October 14th.

Hi ladies! Happy Sunday.
So I took a clearblue test this am. For the record the cheapie was negative this am. I felt like peeing on a stick again and it was pretty negative to the eye. But when I contrast this is what I see. Iβm posting two pics. To the eye and contrasted. Iβm 10/11 dpo. Thoughts?
pomegranate / 3393 posts
Quick question: I use a basic period tracker app. Yesterday, when I got a positive opk and entered it into the app, it marked tomorrow 9/30 as my ovulation date. But today, when I got a positive opk a second time and entered it, it changed my ovulation date to today, 9/29. Anyone have any insight as to why the app made this change?
pomegranate / 3393 posts
@LiliBillie: I definitely see a vertical line in the second picture! But I can't tell if it's just the vertical feature of the test, or something faint being picked up. Intriguing though!
cherry / 105 posts
@MoonMoon: agree. Itβs incredibly faint and Iβm not really convinced. I may go get a different brand tomorrow. I really canβt see it to the naked eye, itβs only in the photo.
grapefruit / 4144 posts
Wow, was gone most of the day and came back to so much!!!!
@LiliBillie: I DEFINITELY see a BFP on the second test! Fingers crossed π€ it is real. Blue dye tests (and, lately FRERs) have been notorious for "false positives." My (ever so leaning to positive) suggestion is to get a red dye test and test again tomorrow and the next day. I am hopeful that this is the real deal. Good luck , hun!
@MoonMoon: I loathe tracker apps bc of that very thing. It changed your date bc it is counting your 2nd positive as your surge; however, a woman can have an extended surge (36 hours +) and be ovulatory the same day as the last positive OPK. Super frustrating. I have had cycles where I get 1 positive day all the way to THREE positives. My RE instructed that I assume day 1 was the start of the surge and day 2 (or 3) could be the end. I was told have "intimate time" as much as possible to cover ALL bases, then a day after the surge, do IT again. The purpose is that sperm can live in a female body (in optimal TTC conditions) for 5-7 days. The more you and your SO can BD, the better your chances are. That stated, apps are crap. Assume you are fertile until your BBT rises (if you are tracking), if not, hit BD-ing every other day until CM is dry.
pomegranate / 3393 posts
@Kaohinani: thanks for your reply! That makes sense, and it confirms that the app isn't exactly super exact! Opk tests are all I have to go by, though, because I work nights and my schedule changes week to week, so tracking bbt would be very impractical for me.
That being said, we've tried to keep up an every other day schedule of dtd- DH Was sick last night, so we made up for it this morning. Tonight I'm back to work, so we'll try again tomorrow morning. TMI? This morning we used lube (astroglide) which the internet says can affect sperm mobility? Damn! Sigh!
How are you doing? Any symptoms or intuition?...
grapefruit / 4144 posts
@MoonMoon: You are doing beautifully. Please, for all that is good and holy, give up the astroglide. On your way home from work, buy PreSeed if you and DH need lubrication. My RE said olive oil, coconut oil, and Oil of Cocoa Butter can all be used but he does prefer PreSeed because it compromises the least amount of sperm ejaculate numbers. Spit, astroglide, and any petroleum-based lube will be a woman's fertility "undoing." Ironically, DD was conceived (while I was on BC and anticonvulsants) using no lube (at 27) and DS was conceived using olive oil (at 34). π€¦ββοΈ I have been using PreSeed for 2 years (* I could be an investor in that stuff) and nada. π
To respond: I have NOTHING that would indicate either way. I am so very lightly cramping, tons of wet CM (blame it on the Crinone), mild nausea if I haven't eaten, itchy BB's (could go either way), bloating (could go either way), and indigestion (I get it every now and then). My only hope is my BBT is high atm, although, it may be due to my Crinone or, simply, I have found that my temp only falls a day or 2 BEFORE AF but still is over cover. I also started with a stress sore on my lip ... bc I have ADs
, it could be that my AI system is compromised OR, as with DD, I am pregnant. IDK. Final outcome: No answer, inclusive.
I am being a huge chicken and not testing, simply because a BFN would emotionally wreck me. I am hoping, praying, and wishing for something amazing, though.

@Kaohinani: Do you still plan to test tomorrow morning or too scared?
cherry / 105 posts
@Kaohinani: thank you! Itβs funny because itβs only when I contrast the photo heavily that I see it. To the naked eye there is absolutely zero line. I hope to be able to get a FRER tomorrow. I tested with a cheapie red dye tonight and bfn.
pomegranate / 3393 posts
@Kaohinani: aaah, why do I not know these things! Goodbye, astroglide!
And honey, I hear you on not wanting to test. We're here with you no matter how long you want to wait!

@yellowbeach: Actually, I woke at 0300 and again a bit ago to void and, completely, forgot. π€¦ββοΈ I am sure, were I pregnant, I would have had some minor physical symptoms and a line would show immediately at 16 dpIUI but I don't really feel anything, so what is the point? π€·ββοΈ
@skiierchck99: Thank you.
@LAZB: Very cool. Amazon is great for purchasing OPKs and HPTs.
@LiliBillie: Can't wait to see your FRER.
@MoonMoon: Thank you for understanding my hesitation. Also, there are a number of studies out there that have studied the efficacy of lubes for fertility, intercourse, and insemination. Affixed is one on the effects of vaginal lubricants on sperm function (during insemination) ... It found PreSeed to be a top contender.

@Kaohinani: in theory I am pregnant but I havenβt had any noticeable symptoms, still, so itβs definitely not conclusive that you havenβt noticed anything!

@Kaohinani: i donβt have a FRER at home this is what I have left. Still a chance?
My breasts are KILLING me and I was hoping but both are Iβm 11 or 12 dpo. Thoughts?

@Kaohinani: tomorrow or whenever works too, whatever is best for you
@LiliBillie: looks like the wondfo isnt dry yet, how does it look now?
grapefruit / 4144 posts
@skiierchck99: Thank you for the positivity. I absolutely agree. I am just going off of how I felt with my 2 live births - With DD, I felt like I had the flu π€’ for weeks (elevated temps, sweats, sick out of both ends, fatigue, and mild cramps), & with DS, my BBs were on fire
. I had one bout of severe nausea with DS which prompted me to test [at a bit over 3 weeks along]. While I am well aware EVERY pregnancy is different, I have yet to experience anything which would be uniquely symptomatic of pregnancy. While I may be hopeful, after trying for so long, I just don't want to see a BFN (AGAIN).
@LiliBillie: There are many reasons why you may have gotten a BFN today. You have a 50-50 chance of being pregnant so, we will assume you are for the moment. The CB tests are 50-miu so, if you implanted after 9 dpo or started with 0-3 miu natural HCG in your system, the levels would be too low to reliably detect (think, your HCG levels could be between 5 and 10 miu). Also, if you implanted at 9 dpo with a natural HCG level of ONE, at 11 dpo, you'd only have a measurable pregnancy level of around 2 to 4-miu at 48 hours (doubling) post implantation. It takes between 2-4 days post implantation for HCG to show in urine levels. A FRER has a MIU threshold of 6.5, which is why most women use them frequently to test early. Wondfos have both 10-miu and 25-miu tests (I use the 10-miu ones). Both Easy@Home and OSOM have a 20-miu urine HCG level (OSOM Combos have 20-miu urine and 10-miu blood serum HCG, but unless you have a centrifuge available to separate serum levels, blood testing isn't an option.). In any case, it may just be too early to test. Also, painfully sore BBs can be caused by either HCG OR high P4 levels. So, it can go either way. π€·ββοΈ I will keep my fingers crossed for you! π€
@Lazb: Thanks, love. I am going to have to test sooner than later since I will use the last of my Crinone tonight and will have to decide whether to test or open another box. π€¦ββοΈπ€£
