A little update here: (and please let me know if this thread is not appropriate for general fertility/ttc updates)
DH has a referral to a urologist, now I'm trying to get him to make the appointment (Anyone relate to DH who drag their feet?)
After hearing what the urologist says, I will also be making an appointment with the fertility clinic.
We're DTD, but I have to admit it's a different feeling not being hopeful that anything will happen. It's also weird, I haven't had a positive OPK yet this month... I hope it's just bad timing, because throwing lack of ovulation into the mix would just be the crazy cherry on top of the insane sundae...

@MoonMoon: Not the wrong thread at all! That sounds like progress forward!
AFM, I freaking passed my boards!!! I still have to take an oral board to be fully board certified, but this was the test I failed twice while going through our TFMR and NICU stay, etc. this is a huge win for me. I finally feel like life is turning around for us. What a difference a year makes!!!

@yellowbeach: woohoo oooo! Congratulations! What a weight off your back!

@MoonMoon: Can you make the appointment for him? I make all the appointments for mine. He will go, when he already has it, but trying to make him to make the call himself is like pulling teeth...totally not worth it.
@yellowbeach: I told you this is your year! Congratulations, I'm so happy for you!

@paranundrum: it never occurred to me that I could make the appointment! He says he will first thing Monday morning, so if not I might have to
Anyone want to help me with this ovulation predictor? I'm thinking it's negative, but it looks wonky so just want to confirm:

@MoonMoon: I would say close, but not quite there yet. I would take another tomorrow.
nectarine / 2648 posts
@MoonMoon: I agree - very close but not quite. Iβd be testing every 6 hrs or so.

Iβm cautiously optimistic that the third time was the charm!! I got this this morning!

@MoonMoon: Fingers crossed for a Christmas BFP!
@Marfi: Wonderful news! Let me know when you would like me to add your BFP to the board!

Congrats @marfi!
Is this pregmate strip positive or not quite there? And if it is positive, do we start having sex tonight or is tomorrow just as good? I had a miscarriage 2 weeks ago and didnβt expect to ovulate so early....
nectarine / 2431 posts
@Shybee23: So, it depends on how bright your test line gets. To be safe, I would dtd, skip a day, and then dtd again.

Random observation but Iβve noticed very few people using charts to track O (or at least not sharing them here). I want some more post-O cats!
Seriously though, I know some folks stories, but is anyone charting? I like FF charts almost as much as I like squinters. π§
clementine / 811 posts
@yellowbeach: I used to chart, but I don't anymore. Going to the doctor and finding out natural conception is not a possibility for us killed the motivation for that. One less thing to do. Also I charted so long, that I have a rough understanding of my cycle based on other things and that's enough for me right now. I would probably still chart if I had a wearable temp tracker, but fiddling with the thermometer isn't something I'm willing to do at 5 am at this point.
I do enjoy looking at charts though.

I called in this morning and got my beta moved up from Monday to tomorrow! Canβt wait to find out the result!
pomegranate / 3393 posts
@yellowbeach: is charting based on temps? I can't do temping because my work schedule changes day to day and I work nights.
pomegranate / 3393 posts
@Shybee23: to me that looks positive, which would indicate ovulation in 24-48 hours, so today tomorrow and the day after would be good times to DTD! I'm sorry to hear about your miscarriage
nectarine / 2648 posts
@Marfi: Woohoo! How has your line progression been? (Assuming youβve kept testing)
cherry / 239 posts
@Shybee23: it looks close, but I think the first line needs to be darker than the control, it may look darker to you rather than the picture...
cherry / 239 posts
Also, I miss squinters!!!! In honor of @marfiβs hereβs my ovulation strips ( a day late) and now the wait! Wish me luck ladies!!
nectarine / 2648 posts
@MoonMoon: yes charting is mainly based on temps but you can also track cervical mucous and log your OPKs. I also do shift work but found the temps (always did vaginal for greater accuracy) to be pretty reliable. The thing that would swing them for me was if I drank any alcohol the night before. π€·ββοΈ
pomegranate / 3393 posts
@yellowbeach: interesting, I'd always heard you need the consistency of timing for temps! Maybe something I need to start! I am logging my ovulation dates in my period tracker app. Sadly all it shows is that I ovulate around day 16-17 and my period starts by day 26. I haven't even gotten to take a single pregnancy test yet, womp.
