DD will be 17-18 months on our next Vacation to Gulf coast, usually the ocean is so flat/calm I'd love to have her hang out in a float
Also for pool too?!
Any favorites?!

We have one that has leg holes and a shade although we don't use the shade much since LO wears a hat. It was a gift but I think it is s great idea.
Ours is a bumblebee but this is similar in concept:

These are awesome, and easy to pack - they require very little air to inflate:

Same as @PinkElephant:
We have that one at our beach house (for the pool) and we took one on vacation (packed it to take there and decided to leave it behind because it wasn't worth the hassle).

FWIW, while I loved the float @PinkElephant posted for infancy, by 17 months we were all puddle jumper all the time. No way DS would have sat in a floaty seat.

@MrsSRS: Isn't puddle jumper for like 3+ or something? Or as long as LO is big enough?

@snowjewelz: I think it's 30-50 lbs. But it really just depends on how big around and mobile your kid is. DS used it starting around 18 months. You can look at them at Target. They cinch pretty small. But they're more like a cross between water wings and life vest than a float.

@MrsSRS: Yeah I've been looking at them! I just wasn't sure why they say 3+ like if I'm missing some important safely info

@snowjewelz: no idea. Obviously at that young we didn't let DS go more than an arm's length away...I'm a huge fan. All the buoyancy of a vest with better range of movement and more comfy. DS used to try to put his on before we even got in the car to go swimming
