I've seen lots of people mention making popsicles lately.
Got a good recipe to share? I made some for my nieces and nephews last summer when they came to visit. They did not like it! hahah Would like to try again when they visit this summer and for M.

I'm curious too, my LO doesn't like the ones I make. I need to make them sweeter because applesauce isn't cutting it for her.

I just made some with
- 1 cup pineapple juice
- 1 can coconut milk
- one banana
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
They were very refreshing! There are lots of recipes on Pinterest.

when we were little, we'd make them with juice. i never knew there were recipes! we'd make apple juice ones, or orange juice, etc.

I recently made some with blueberries, raspberries, and lemonade. They were so good! I just put some berries in little plastic Dixie cups, filled the cups with lemonade, and stuck a stick in the middle. After they're frozen, run the cups under hot water for a few seconds and they pop right out.

I wonder if my son would go for popsicles. I have to give it a try one of these days.
I love anything with berries and yogurt. I believe you can add some gelatin to them to make them less melty, but I don't have any personal experience with this.

My kids have a popsicle every day!
This past weekend I did vanilla yogurt, frozen bananas/peaches, almond milk, coconut milk, blackberries (too sour to eat fresh and I froze them), and frozen spinach.
Last week I did plain yogurt, strawberries/bananas, mangoes, chia seeds, almond milk, whole milk. DH and I drank these as smoothies first and then froze the leftovers for the LOs.
If I have fruit pouches that are going to expire soon, I mix those with apple juice and freeze. I also did vanilla/banana pudding pops last week too.
Most unpopular ones were avocado pear (from Pinterest). No one liked it at all. Another fail was almond butter/almond milk/banana. It was terrible, not sure why.

@T-Mom: omg the fruit pouch idea is genius!! I bought a bunch of Plum Organics Strawberry Lemonade on Woot that expires in 2 months. That will be a great way to use it up! They are pretty runny already so I don't think I will dilute it any more.

I usually just purée any kind of fruit and mix with a little yogurt. For grown up Popsicles, I mix coffee with sweetened condensed milk and freeze that.

@regberadaisy: yeah we go through phases where the LOs decide that what pouch they liked last week is no longer edible (especially after I stocked up haha) so I disguise them in Popsicles
