Has your community jumped on the band wagon and done the quarantine front step pictures??
Care to share if you have??
We're doing ours Tuesday and I think we're gonna go for funny/comedic

We did! But it’s been almost 3 weeks and don’t have them back yet. We didn’t do anything creative and I let each kid have a stuffed animal in the picture.
On thing I love about what our community is doing is that the 1st image is free. But they’re asking to donate/buy a gift card to support a local business. Each time a phot is shared they tag the business they’re supporting.

@Miss Ariel: ours is a donation too. I think it’s Just something Cute and fun to memorialize this crazy time! I’m also happy bc we just moved into our new home a year ago so having a porch pic will be nice

They were doing them here but had to stop because it’s technically a violation of our shelter in place order (can’t travel at all for non essential reasons). I’m bummed because I would have liked to do them!

Our local photographer had a really good post about why she's not doing this project, basically along the lines of what @JJ2626: said, it's unnecessary activities/interaction that plays with the boundaries of sheltering in place. We're in NY State and I'm not sure whether our area has hit its peak yet or not.

We have plans to do them on Saturday though the high for the day is 48 so it's not going to be great weather wise. My girlfriend just did them so I'm using the same photographer she used. It's $20 for like 5-10 minutes and 10 pictures. I've told the boys that they can pick whatever they want to wear and I don't even care if it's their pj's.

Would love to do these but we live in the country so won't have any pro-photographers in the area... I just ordered myself a new 6d mark ii so my goal is to take some with the tripod, and possibly offer to a few neighbors.
Most photographers have been taking them for a donation, some take the photos for free but then charge for the digital or print, and one was $200 which seems crazy for a 10 minute shoot where you're not posing or anything.
I would get dressed up, but I've seen a lot of cute 'funny' ones, mom disheveled in robe, essential workers in masks, kids on their phones or doing science experiments.
