Our little tree was looking a little sad so we put it in a basket to give it some height!

@Mrs. Bee: Your tree is lovely! & your chocie of wrapping is perfect. Here's a photo of our tree.

Our tree is so tiny!! But perfect for the amount of space and (lack of) ornaments that we have.

I apparently don't have a picture of the whole thing, but this is pretty close!

We have a tall, skinny tree. We are having trouble getting the star to stay on top.. It is crooked in this picture.

Most of the ornaments were made by DH's grandfather. DH also has a tendency to attach a string to pretty much anything and hang it on the tree!

@Espion: LOL to your DH comment! That's sweet that all the ornaments are handmade. I think that's one of the best part about Christmas trees. All the memories; they don't need to be picture perfect.
We are slowly accumulating ornaments through the years. Some belonged to his grandmother. We've tried to buy one each year we've been together, etc.

Ours is pretty bare this year. We are going to be gone over the holidays, so I put up a tenth of our ornaments so I wouldn't have to take down so many the day we fly home Jan 3rd. But I still love the sparkly lights.

@Espion: Are those red wooden beads? I think we have the same garland!

Here's ours. Not a great pic but we got a pretty 6.5 foot fraser this year.

@Rainbow Sprinkles: Yes! I think they are supposed to mimic cranberries on a string. I grew up in a fake tree/tinsel household, but DH has very strong opinions about the Christmas tree!

I don't have a picture of it all the way decorated, it had to come down quickly
it's pretty clear why.... (PSA: it's not just tipping you need to worry about with pets, the garland & lights can get wrapped around their necks & strangle them while climbing
thank goodness I was home!)

@Charm54: Your house looks like a cozy winter wonderland! (jealous over here in California.)

@mrs. bird: Lol!! I didn't even see the 2nd cat at first. Oddly, our cat has never shown interest (even though he loves destroying things).

We went with a little tree on the desk in our den. Our baby is absolutely hellbent on grabbing/destroying anything in her path, so we took that out of the equation. It was fun cutting down a little tree for once, and it even fit in the back of our Jeep.

I always end up with a bigger tree then I mean to get. Small apartment problems.

That's almost 12 feet of Christmas tree - note to self - don't let hubby and his buddy go tree shopping unsupervised!

We don't have a tree (never have, yikes!). Instead I present our poinsettia. As good as it's going to get this year, unfortunately

We go for the fun, ornament-crowded family tree, instead of the designer tree. I do love a pretty tree, but one of my favorite childhood Christmas memories is our tacky tree. I wanted to pass that on.
The only picture I have is a super dark one from IG, but here it is:

@MediaNaranja: I love it! When I was 20, instead of a tree, we had a Christmas lamp
we didn't have money for a tree, so we wrapped a lamp in garland & put tinsel on it. At least your poinsettia is living!

@photojane: I don't think there is anything tacky about your tree!
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@photojane: nothing tacky about that tree! Ours looks the same, except white lights! I love it!

@photojane: I love your tree! I love a tree with tons of eclectic or handmade ornaments.
