Exhausted from waking up 5 times with my 6 month old, but otherwise okay! How about you?

@bushelandapeck: Sounds about like my night with my 8 month old. What is up with these kids?!
We've got a pretty low key day around here after a busy one yesterday - just taking DD to gymnastics class and then hanging out after at home. Where are you flying to @mrsjyw: ?

@bushelandapeck: @coopsmama: hope the babies sleep better tonight!!

@mrsjyw: Thank you!
@coopsmama: mine hasn't STTN yet...and has only given me two nights of sleeping for 6 hours. Ugh.

@bushelandapeck: Mine never has either. DS started sleeping 12 hours straight at 7 months and never looked back so I was under a false pretense that would happen again with DD. Yeah right. I don't know that she will ever STTN at this rate. I feel amazing if I even get a 3 hour stretch in. Hope your sweet girl starts sleeping better for you, too!!

@coopsmama: oh man....I'm sorry im happy im not alone but biy does it stink! I'm lucky to ET a 3 hour stretch as well. DS started STTN a on his own at 9 months so I've still got a little hope that it may happen, but I'm not holding my breath.

@bushelandapeck: Mine's going through a crazy leap at 4 mo so I totally feel you! She actually slept great last night but it was because I was up either putting in paci, shushing or physically holding down her flailing arms (she hates swaddle).

I'm with all the tired mommas. LO has a cold, a diaper rash, a cracked lips. She cried more than usual last night, and I'm on the search for a diaper cream now.

@Pumpkin Pie: @snowjewelz: @bushelandapeck: @coopsmama: Desperately needing a nap right there with y'all. The text convo I just had with my husband:
H: How's your day babe?
Me: Good, I'm really tired.
H: I'm sorry! Tonight just punch me and wake me up when he cries. [context: he doesn't hear the crying -- which still baffles me]
Me: It's really fine - I'm up when he wakes-up anyways.
H: I don't want you to collapse from lack of sleep though. I'm willing just wake me up!
Me: My shirt is inside out. I've had 3 meetings today and just noticed.
H: This is what happens when you don't sleep. Flip it!!!
Me: I'm too tired to deal with it.

@LBee: LOL! I agree.. DH "wakes up" but he totally falls back asleep in .5 seconds. He always tells me to wake him up to but I feel the same way as you; I'm up anyway... And I always think well at least one person sleeps... Plus he is much grumpier than me without sleep, haha!

@snowjewelz: We also have a mommy preference issue - I can just go and shove a paci in his mouth and turn him on his side and he goes back to sleep, my husband has to put on a three ring circus complete with rocking to get him back. It feels mean to say "get up" when I can get him back down in 2 minutes.

@LBee: oh man! yeah totally! but sigh i feel you.. sometimes i'm at work and i'm just in a fog. and then i think i'm gonna get fired lol

What is it with the mean being able to sleep through the crying? My DH is like that too!
cantaloupe / 6059 posts
@LBee: Bahaha. I've so done the shirt thing. And DH also doesn't wake up anymore when the baby cries. He does when they are newborns but not afterwards. So I can commiserate with you on both fronts.
Here's hoping for more rest in our futures SOON ladies!

@mrsjyw: so jealous of all your trips!!!
My day is okay. My brain doesn't want to do work and we have had such a stormy day. Also, I'm pretty over morning sickness at 23 weeks!
On the exciting/nervous side, we have our first day care tour today.
