Hi there! I'm writing a paper all day, so I'll be around. How are you?
hostess / eggplant / 11068 posts
@LovelyPlum: Eeeks...What's your paper on? I'm okay! Just a little sleepy and going back and forth from computer to baby! LOL.

Already? Wow! I could get used to this!
I just got home from grocery shopping...I love going at 8 in the morning...so peaceful!

@Rubies: magic and religion in the 17th century. It's actually really interesting, and it's only a draft. But, I just haven't had a chance to work on it, so now I am a little stressed. It's nice to have a whole day to devote to it (and HB... )

I'm here. Just working today. Not many meetings. Need to start on some data anaylsis on student to computer ratios

@Dandelion: grocery shopping in the morning is great...so much better than doing it in the evening!

I love all day postathons! I'm just heading to my moms then my monthly OB appt so I'll be in and out all day!

@LovelyPlum: Usually I pick up DS from school and we go from there, but I decided to do it on my own today. The only downside was lugging everything inside by myself, lol.

Ugh, okay. I'm working from home and DH is doing the drop off/pick up today. She was throwing tantrum after tantrum because she didn't want to get dressed. I did discover a trick though -- i start asking her where her body parts are and she stops crying!
wonderful clementine / 24134 posts
@Freckles: distraction is great! Today I had to dress her on her changing table so she couldn't run away.

@Freckles: Oh man, DD threw a tantrum today because she wanted to wear her pajamas to daycare. Um, no. Luckily the recycling truck was just coming up our street and I told her that if she wanted to see the truck (she LOVES watching them pick up our stuff), then she'd have to put on her school clothes.

@T.H.O.U.: She's okay with getting changed on the change table? LO hates getting changed lying down!
@Rubies: That's hilarious. I think she was also extra cranky because she knew DH was taking her to daycare.

@Freckles: Well, I'm glad you're working from home today! We can "hang out"...While you work, of course.

I'm at work pouting because the Starbucks drive through line was way too long for me to stop and make it to work on time. Talk about a first world problem!

Yay, an all dat postathon. Love this. I'm working. I have 1500 emails in my inbox...

@Leialou: LOL, i said, "first world problems" before i got to the line you wrote about FWP.

@Rubies: Wheee! I have meetings/presentations throughout the day. The nice thing about working from home is i can look good from the shoulders up but still wear thermal leggings and no one is the wiser.

Sigh. Baby is waking up now for realsies after stirring for about 30 minutes. Grrrrrr. I mean, grrrrreat!

I had a parent teacher conference for DD. And now I have a headache. Preparing for a babysitter to come over is a lot of work! I would rather just do it myself!

We did lo's second road trip. She was an angel. We have to run some errands this afternoon and then we have to pick up because DH comes home tonight and the satellite dish installer will be coming tomorrow.

I'm abroad right now for a dissertation research trip, and about to wind down for the night--need to go to sleep early because I slept too late this morning, darn jet lag! Today ended up being fairly productive anyway, though the best part was I ran into one of my grad school friends--I didn't even realize he was here! So fun!

Had my GD test today. Feeling like a pincushion due to that and the flu shot I had yesterday!

Im walking/running on the treadmill!
Kids went down way early. Time to work my last 10lbs off!

Just about ready to go to bed. Baby has been sleeping in dh's arms for the past 45minutes and I keep telling him to put her down but he won't listen. Sigh.

Doing some work and eating crackers and cheese. LO went to bed at 8pm on the nose tonight. Yippeee!!
wonderful clementine / 24134 posts
@LovelyPlum: that's a long day.
I was in bed but LO cried so now I'm up again.
eggplant / 11408 posts
@T.H.O.U.: yes it is but I'm home in my PJs drinking tea while writing...so that counts for something, right?
Plus, to be fair, I wasn't working on it all day. I did have to get some things done in between. Now if only this will get done, too!
