@Rubies: Hey! Early to the party i see. LO is still napping and i'm debating whether i should snack on some spicy ketchup chips.

@caffeinated: OmgOMGOMG, do it, do it! I will live vicariously through out (I only have sour cream'n'onion popcorn that I'm saving for later)
@mrbee: Hiiiiiii

@Rubies: damnit, such a bad influence. there are carrot sticks as well...haha
hostess / eggplant / 11068 posts
@caffeinated: No carrots. Chips. Must be chips.
@mrbee: She goes down every night at 5:30pm. It's insane, actually.
hostess / eggplant / 11068 posts
@mrbee: Um...Not really. She goes to bed so early because we have to wake her up at 5:30am every morning and she is total grumpy-pants without her 12 hours of sleep.

@Rubies: whoa, 5:30?? when did this start? eating chips as we speak. will have carrot sticks with dinner!

I'm fixing to make some mac and cheese for dinner. DH is at the Ravens game, so it's just me and the animals tonight. I'm kind of having a little freak out session about being a parent, but I think I'll be ok!

@Jennimac: Yeah, I SHOULD be doing some marking, too, but...I'm not. (P.S. I recently learned that American's say, "I need to grade papers" and Canadians tend to say, "I need to mark papers"...)
@caffeinated: Yeah, 5:30...She's always had an early bed time (6pm, 6:30pm at the latest from 4 months - 1 year old) but when I went back to work and having to get up, get some breakfast in her, get her ready and out the door, we had to start waking her up at 5:30 every morning. Because of that, she gets so sleepy in the evening and by 5:15 she's totally ready to conk out.

@caffeinated: I know! I'm jealous, but am in no condition to sit on hard seats for 4 hours. So I'll sit on my couch and watch the game on tv.

@mrbee: While it's nice having quiet evenings after she's in bed, it's a bit frustrating because I'm chained to the house (can't run errands, grocery shop, etc.) until hubs gets home from work, which is 7pm-ish.

@Rubies: OMG, I'm a nut job! haha! I'm terrified of delivering. I'm scared of the epidural (which I will have to have b/c I don't handle pain well at all). I'm scared something's going to be wrong with the baby. I'm scared he'll end up in NICU for some reason. I'm scared that we won't bond. I'm scared of postpartum depression. It's really ridiculous. I know I can't do anything to prevent these things, but I'm freaking out about them. I'm pretty sure it's just hormones right now though.

Hello! Husband got home early and is putting LO down for her final nap of the day - I actually get to sit down for a change! Woohoo.

@boiledpnut: Oooooh! Deeeeear!!! Okay, let me tell you something - if YOU'RE a nutjob, then we're ALL nutjobs! I felt the exaaaaaact same way! We're always afraid of the unknown. But I promise you, when you're in labour having your baby, you body will let you know what to do and if not, you will have wonderful people (doctors/midwives/nurses/hubs) helping you. HUGS!

@boiledpnut: Thank you! I googled 'mung bean' and that's the only cute picture that came up. Everything else was a weird sprouted bean

@Rubies: wow!!!! I didn't know that! I need to do that because some kids have some bad grades coming and I want to make sure that all my grades are up to date and parents can see the final average.

@Rubies: There's an iPhone app that you can setup as a baby monitor... if the baby makes a noise, then the app will give another telephone number a call!
Might be handy for a quick trip to the market if your baby is a bit older!
