Ugh. So I am 5 1/2 weeks out from a c section and I have started bleeding again. I have been done bleeding for two to three weeks with the exception of the occasional brownish discharge but starting yesterday I had some pinkish stuff then red and now today it is even heavier. I am also getting cramps. I have felt better the last few days so I am sure I have been slightly more active than usual but nothing crazy. I have been more active than this in the past with no effect. I am EBF so it isn't likely to be my period. This is as heavy as right after birth and it is kinda starting to worry me a bit. I'm not bleeding enough to soak a pad an hour like the doctor warned me but she also never mentioned the possibility of bleeding this heavily this long after stopping. Should I be worried or does this still sound normal?

I EBFed for both babies and my period was back within 4 & 3 weeks. My PP bleeding was done around 2 weeks after my Csections.

There is a chance that it's your period. Ebf doesn't always mean that your period will stay away for the entire time you are feeding, just like it can't be trusted as birth control. To me it sounds like your period. I had a csection and even when I did more activity toward the end I wouldn't bleed anymore than just a little red spotting. It wouldn't last a day or get heavier.

It sounds like your period. I EBFed and got my period at 10 weeks, but my cousin (who also EBF) got her period back at 4 weeks with all three of her babies.

That sounds normal. My bleeding started again around that time and lasted for about a week. I didn't get my period until 7 months pp though.

I had that and then haven't had anything since (12 weeks now). I think it's normal they told me bleeding would continue 4-6 weeks. I'd also stopped around 3 and it was new bleeding,

Normal. I got my period back at 7 weeks pp.

My bleeding started again around that period too. Thought for sure it was my period but turned out it was not.

I thought I got my period. It happened 5 wks pp then a month later for a week. Now nothing. So it could be your period. Or like @scotchbonnet: not.

I had something similar that it lightened around 5-6 weeks and then came back. It wasn't a period and it ended finally around 8 weeks.

I bled at six weeks. It wasn't a period. My midwife said it was normal to start again. Mine was like a heavy period.
