I refuse to wear maternity clothes post partum because I am just so sick of them! I am 4 months PP right now, and I wear mostly leggings and tunic tops. Free People is my favorite brand because their stuff is super flowy and forgiving, but also comfortable and super cute. I try and dress up my tunic and leggings look with cute boots of sneakers, big fun scarves, cute hats, or big, bold accessories.

I feel like pretty much everything is nursing friendly because I just wear a nursing tank underneath and lift my shirt up.

Right after, I wore maternity clothes and nursing tops. Once I could fit into my jeans, I started wearing those more. Now I have some cute clothes in bold colors that I like, but I'm thinking about what to do during my next PP period because I want to look better.

So here are just a couple examples--

First is at like 2 weeks post partum. High waisted leggings to suck in the pooch and an oversized tunic with boots.

In the second pic I'm actually pregnant, but it's also something I'd wear post partum. Loose, oversized tank (nursing cami underneath) with leather jacket and black leggings or stretchy pants.

Third pic--just another oversized tunic with leggings and boots! Wearing a nursing bra with the straps pushed over so you can't see them. Not exactly practical for everyday, but good if you are going out.

I am super busty while nursing so I try and stay away from button-up shirts because they emphasize my large boobs.

I'm in FL and it was 5,000 degrees when I was immediately PP (DS born in August), but I wore stretchy workout shorts (like Nike shorts, but the Target brand bc I'm cheap) and tanks every day. I actually mostly wore the Liz Lange maternity tanks from Target - they are long and have good coverage, but aren't ruched or anything so don't look "maternity." Plus I find they are stretchy enough I just pull them down to nurse. Still do most weekends!

Posting to follow. 10 weeks pp and still have 12 pounds to lose. NONE OF MY PANTS FIT. :'(

@wrkbrk: I still have some weight to lose too. I just wear leggings with a tall, thick waist band to suck in whatever pooch I have. I wear jeans sometimes, but they give me muffin top!

@wrkbrk: oh no. I am so glad I WAH, I can't imagine dressing for work in this post partum state. Maybe a little shopping spree is in order?

@wrkbrk: I still have to wear my maternity pants because I am still uncomfortable from my CS 13 weeks ago. I can't wear leggings to work either. I'm probably going to have to buy more pants.

@Finfan: Don't think I won't wear my maternity pants back to work. lol!!! They're plain black pants. Who can tell, right?!

I'm still wearing my mat tops because I like the length! I even bought new ones recently haha I wore a few of my mat bottoms for a couple weeks but was able to fit into my pre baby bottoms pretty quickly. The issue I have is nursing friendly tops. I usually wear a tank under everything so I can just pull up my tops and not be completely exposed. But I miss wearing maxi dresses...actually, dresses in general.

I'm six weeks out and pretty much wear yoga pants or leggings, nursing tank, and zip up hoodie every single day. I have a bunch of cardigans too but I'm still in the stage where I get spit up on a lot and it doesn't seem worth the effort to wear something that has to be hung dry. I've been a Sahm for a couple years and just don't like wearing jeans unless I'm going somewhere nicer anyway- yoga pants are fine for the playground!

But I did just get some longer tops and nicer leggings, so when I'm ready to make the effort I'll wear a tunic with leggings and low boots or cute sneakers.

Eta: I also like wearing a flannel shirt over a nursing tank, and just got a cute longish cotton one on clearance at old navy.

Finally fit into normal stuff at 4-5 months and then just wore regular clothes with nursing tanks under.

Around 10 months even quit the nursing bras.

@wrkbrk: ditto. Tried on pants today...they don't do up.

@Finfan: I'm just over 14 weeks out from a c-section. Just wondering what kind of discomfort you have? I have some numbness and sometimes my tummy is just sore. I'm hoping this will go away soon and also wondered if it gets worse if I am very active that day?
