Thinking of getting an on-the-toilet potty seat for my girl, since she already has a small floor potty, but is so interested in being just like us that i think she might prefer the actual toilet. but she's very little in size.
so...which over the toilet potty do you recommend for a little girl? does anyone have one that has a smaller opening?

My guy is tiny and we have a baby bjorn one that is pretty little and works well. Was a hand-me-down, so I don't have a link.

My son is very small and I just bought this one from Target: (Prince Lionheart) I like it so far and he fits it pretty well.

@Mrs Green Grass: that one does look small! maybe it's just the pic, but it looks like the hole is smaller than some others i've looked at.

@Jess1483: thanks! question for you and @Mrs Green Grass: did you get any stool that worked for your small kiddos? wondering if i should get a 2-step stool, or maybe not even bother with one until she's a bit taller. she's only 17 months, so i can't see her using it on her own any time soon, but i figure she'd like the act of being able to climb onto it with our assistance.

We got the bumbo potty seat. It has a super small opening and more of a back. I put it on the toilet in her attached bathroom thinking it would make sure she didn't fall in when using the potty by herself at night. Granted she has never used it by herself at night so it didn't really matter, but it is impossible to fall through!

We have an OXO Tot sit right potty and I love love it - very easy to clean and with its flat base it stands up beside the toilet when not in use. Dd is 20 months and it's not too big for her.

@Pirouette: We use just a small potty at home. The bjorn seat is at my parents' house (he spends a couple days a week over there). They just pick him up and put him on the potty, so we haven't used a stool yet.

The Pottette used as a potty seat has been our best bet (my daughter is also small) - as an added bonus, now at nearly 3 it's very easy for her to put on and take off the toilet by herself.
We just use a big sterilite single step stool. DD loves it and drags it all around the house to reach various things (which is kind of gross, but oh well. she washes her hands before picking it up and she's obviously sitting down to use the potty, so I don't think it's getting peed on).

@Pirouette: right now I like the fact that he can't get on and off, but we are at the very first stages of almost potty training.

@PinkElephant: haha i'm sure my daughter would do the same, so doesn't sound that gross to me 
which i guess is a sign of how used to gross things i am at this point!
@Mrs Green Grass: oh yea i would probably hide the stool out of sight so she can't climb up on her own for a long time. i just think it might be a nice motivator for her when we're helping her onto the potty so she can be a part of the process.
