I definetly teared up. I have a few blogs about adoption and relationships with birth families. It's so hard to write about such an emotional thing. I find birth mother stories heart breaking and interesting at the same time. Reading about their emotions while placing their child in the arms of another woman really hits me since I have been that other woman.

I am definitely teary. We have a beautiful open adoption. We are so proud of M's birth parents for everything they've done for us and everything they are doing with their lives. It's a different paradigm, but we're all growing and learning together. My heart is heavy and full.

Wow, tears are pouring down my face. I can't imagine a more selfless, loving act than to make the ultimate sacrifice in order for your child to have a better life. Thank you for sharing the links.

Seriously an amazing story. I couldn't stop reading. It is rare you get to see this side of the adoption and I love that she was able to do this!
I gotta admit, the adoptive parents names threw me for a loop. That is mine and Mr. Hedgies names! Crazy!

@mrbee: thank you for sharing. Sobbing sitting in our own hospital room waiting for our birth mom to deliver our lo. I love reading this from the birth mom's perspective.
