J is usually barefoot (but he doesn't pull to stand or anything so the soles of his feet don't touch the ground much), or if it's really cold I'll put trumpette socks on him. At night before bedtime, i'll put him in footed sleepers. Robeez are great for pre-walkers!

I got LO a few pairs of those slipper socks with solid (leather-like?)bottoms to wear in the hour. I got them at h&m but I think they have the ones with the bumpy rubber bottom at target too.

Socks with traction, Robeez type shoes (I think they were from Target), and Swedish moccasins. The moccasins have a leather sole and is a thick sock all around. We got her current ones from H&M, but I noticed that the quality differs. The one we have is really thick and durable. The current ones I've seen (here) are thin.

We have all hardwood floors and so does day care. So R is learning on them, aside from when she is on our living room rug. We don't really put her in shoes. I find that she is fine with the Trumpette socks since they have the gribbers on the bottom.

Socks did not work for us when lo was crawling/starting to cruise--we did bare feet. If it had been the winter I would have used socks under robeez.

He wore robeez and see Kai run smaller while learning to walk. Also loved these kina nui booties they were awesome for winter though he was just crawling and pulling up then.

Another vote for roobeez! They are the best, non slip and they can't get them off...we put socks on under the shoes too

We almost always went with barefoot, or socks with grip.

pedipeds or socks with grippers. He gets around much better in shoes though!

LO was mainly barefoot, he only recently started wearing socks with rubber soles on the bottom since its colder now.
