A coworker just announced he and his wife are expecting baby #2... just lost my LO #2 (and had a D&C) a couple of weeks ago. I was really doing okay emotionally this week, but this feels like a punch in the gut.
Also, someone I know posted on FB an April Fool's pregnancy announcement. Just not cool, people.

I hear ya. I've had 2 pregnancy announcements due right at the same time as I would have been. It really does feel like ripping the wound open all over again.

I deleted a friend off fb after an April Fool's announcement she did. No patience for that crap and clearly had never experienced a loss.
I messaged her saying congrats and blah blah, poured my heart out on our previous loss and how we were preggo again but keeping secret because of the previous loss, but omg we're due two weeks apart, la la la. She felt awful, I probably over reacted, but I was hurt.

I feel you! This was WAY harder for me than I expected after I miscarried--I've been really surprised by how much announcements affect me. I was really worried about seeing an April Fool's announcement yesterday--this month is when we would have been due--but luckily, this year, nobody on my feed did one. (At least not that I saw.)

I thought I was at a point where I was dealing ok with my MC...until a coworker came in with his newborn about a month later. I ended up locking myself in my office and sobbing. It can really be so hard!

Ahhh I've been there. I endured my ex boyfriend's pregnancy announcement and a very close friend's announcement on facebook the weekend i had my D&C - it was tough. Hang in there!

((hugs)) A coworker (been here 6 months) is pregnant but hasn't told us yet. She's definitely far enough along to be showing though. That was my final straw after 16 months and one chemical pregnancy... Thinking of you

I'm so sorry for your loss. I couldn't handle pregnancy announcements after my first miscarriage. It took us so long to get pregnant and then once I was pregnant, I miscarried. I was just so sad. The two months we took "off" in between TTC after that, I had 10 women on my floor in various stages of pregnancy. It was killing me. So I made my DH take me on vacation to a beautiful Caribbean Island.
The April Fools announcements make my blood boil.

Thanks, everyone. It's always so surprising to me how many women have gone through it before me... so now I'm thinking of all of you and sending you hugs.
@2PeasinaPod: I know a Caribbean Island isn't the same as a beautiful baby.... but it does sound like a good (and much needed) distraction! There are a lot of pregnant women at my work right now... I wish I could wear blinders!

A few weeks after I miscarried I found out that one of my neighbors was due on the same day I would have been, with a fourth child that she outright said she hadn't wanted. When my SIL told me I sat on the kitchen floor and burst into tears.

Big hugs!! Seeing that stuff after a loss is soooo hard. DH's cousin had a baby 2 days after my D&C and I pretty much had a breakdown. I ended up taking a FB break around the time I would have been due because all the baby announcements were too hard.
Oh, and the April Fools stuff pisses me off so bad.

I'm so sorry for your loss, I feel the same way, I have my d&c last week, things still feel kinda surreal, but the littlest things will set me off. Hugs, hang in there!

Oh its awful isn't it. One of my FB friends had a surprise pregnancy just after my mc - it was really hard to deal with. Sending you lots of hugs.
