If I did, it wasn't consistently. And I forgot all the time while pregnant.

Now we're about to try for #3 and I still forget to take them! I need to set a phone reminder. That helped me last time.

@teawithpaloma: That's why I take mine at night too. Mine live in the medicine cabinet next to my toothpaste so I'll remember.

@teawithpaloma: Well, my midwife last time told me the prenatals are MOSTLY for the mom, since baby takes all the nutrients they need....and I'm mostly just hoping that what I do take will be enough to keep me healthy enough

I do keep them beside my bed so I have a chance to remember. When I was taking a BC pill years ago I used to set a dialy reoccuring alarm to remind me to take it!

We started TTC this month and I've been taking them but only for the past few weeks or so. I didn't do the 3 months in advance thing this time, I just forgot. I do manage to take mine every morning though, simply by putting them right next to the coffee pot so I grab them when I go to pour myself coffee every morning. We can ignore the fact that I am still drinking coffee every morning!

@catlady: I just couldn't give up coffee this time. Any potential small benefit to baby #2 was far outweighed by the negative effect it would have on baby #1, who doesn't stop going just because mommy is tired.

i have to take medication for my high blood pressure, so i actually have one of those 7 day pill boxes and i refill it every week with my meds and prenatal so i never really forget. i also have it with breakfast everyday, so today is a rare exception when i ran out of the house without breakfast and my meds/prenatal didn't cross my mind. i usually remember. maybe if you start to associate it with something and even keep them next to something you use every morning (like dishes?), it will be easier to remember.

I did sporadically for a few months before -- then realized they were expired after I got pregnant and took a closer look, haha. I switched to a new bottle, then lost the pregnancy (chemical) and now I'm taking them every day. It's hard to remember!

@snowjewelz: that's what I did. I took them while nursing and still take them now. We'll TTC in the new year, so I don't see a reason to stop taking them

@snowjewelz: @LovelyPlum: Same here. I took prenatals all through my first pregnancy and nursing my first son, I was just still taking them when I got pregnant with my second (and I'm still taking them because I'm still nursing #2).

But I was on BCP for 7+ years prior - when I stopped those, I just starting taking prenatals instead, so I was very used to taking a pill before bed.

I never stopped taking them either. Always take them at night, because they upset my stomach in the morning. I actually take the gummy ones now, and it is like a mini dessert lol.
