Is it difficult to prepare stuffed meals? Stuffed chicken, stuffed hamburgers, stuffed shells, etc.
I see so many recipes for stuffed chicken breasts that sound so good, but am very wary of the results... I feel like I would end up with a mess. Kind of like when I try to make an omelette I just end up with scrambled eggs and toppings

I've never had issues with stuffed burgers or chicken, I just make sure to buy the thickest chicken in the store so there's plenty to stuff into.

I have issues with stuffed food because I don't like touching raw meat with my bare hands, and usually the meat requires a bit of man-handling to stuff.
That being said I've had some luck buying thin cut chicken breasts and just putting filling on half the breast then folding it over, since that can all be done with utensils.
(yes, i'm neurotic lol)

@Mae: If I'm really going to get into it (like making hamburgers or potentially stuffing a chicken breast), I don't mind touching the meat. But if I'm just doing ordinary cooking where I shouldn't have to touch meat, such a Princess about it, with lots of squealing!!

I don't think it's that bad for any of those you mentioned. Stuffed shells are probably the very easiest. And some recipes part of the presentation is over-stuffing somewhat and having the stuffing oozing or tumbling out a little. I was actually thinking of making some stuffed pork chops today. Until I realized I have no pork chops.

I do stuffed chicken breasts regularly.
I cut a pocket in with a small knife and kind of spread the opening with my hands. Then I secure with toothpicks after I've put the filling in.
I also do the cut and pound method, for things like stuffed pork tenderloin. I secure those with strings.

It takes some practice and takes time but you do get better at it! I'll use a rolling pin sometimes to make meat thinner. Shells drive me crazy because it's just a balancing act and I tend to tear the pasta. I prefer easy things like cabbage rolls or stuffed peppers.

I do stuffed chicken breasts pretty regularly. I usually just pound and roll. They never look as pretty as the pictures on the site but they are delicious!
