Every time I've tried, they turn out all grainy. I've used Snapfish, Shutterfly, Target, and Walgreens. I've tried increasing pixels, picture size, etc. What am I doing wrong? How do you print cell phone photos of good quality?

Have you checked your phone settings to make sure you're taking and saving the highest quality photos? Do you upload straight from your phone to a website? What size are you printing (4x6 is about biggest I print).

I honestly just thought that was the quality I get from my phone. They aren't terrible but you can definitely notice a difference (and they totally look better on your phone! So misleading haha)

Maybe try one of the professional sites? I just printed our wedding pictures at Shutterfly and was amazed at the difference in quality from the professional lab that my photographer used. Even the professional pics came out grainy. I felt like I could have done better with my inkjet.!

@T.H.O.U.: I have it set on the middle setting for resolution - 1280x960. I've tried uploading directly to the website, and I've also tried saving them to my computer, changing the resolution, and then uploading. Same result each time.
@Mrs. Taco: I know! I get so mad cuz they look SO good on my phone and then I print them and they look not so good.
@tillma: Yeah....I just don't know that I"m willing to pay the difference. But I guess if I want better quality....

I don't know (sorry!) but I would maybe call the maker of your phone and ask - I've printed out photos from my iPhone at shutterfly and Walgreens and the quality was good. I just made coasters for Christmas and our New Years cards with pictures from my phone...so it can be done!

I would try to put it on the highest resolution and see what you get. What phone do you have ?

@littlebug: @tillma: ProDPI is a fantastic "professional" printing site and their prices really aren't that bad! I think they give you some test prints for free when you sign up so you could see if you like the quality for free when you start out.

@T.H.O.U.: Samsung Galaxy S3.
@mediagirl: Ooh, thanks! I'll try that for sure if they have free previews!

@littlebug: also, my husband has that phone and we have printed some photos from it and they look great! I have found a lot of his pictures come out blurry, though. He had to change some settings on the camera to get them to look good again.
