Salon Pas! They're like these menthol-medicated sticky pads that you stick on your skin. They burn like crazy and you smell like Bengay but it works. My grandma and mom use them like crazy for everything...bruises, cuts, muscles aches...whatever. Once my grandma had a headache and put some on her temples and under her nose. She ended up fainting and going to the emergency room. Lesson learned....don't stick those suckers near your sinuses!

Interesting. You know, I grew up using all brand name items but now we hardly buy anything that is brand name, everything is off-brand from whatever store. The only thing I am particular about that I grew up with are Utz potato chips.

I can't think of things I buy right now (although I definitely do) but things that remind me of childhood:

Vienna Fingers (with the vanilla icing), coffee milk & cabinets remind me of my grandparents house,

Celeste pizza, Lender's bagels and some other assorted goodies remind me of home.

I'm not attached, I buy what's on sale. My husband on the other hand always has to buy what he's used to.

I tend to stick with brands we used growing up mostly because I know the quality and like the product and don't want to risk wasting my money on a different brand and then not like it.

I have noticed that aside from buying things the same from childhood I tend to do things the same as my childhood. Example: I clean my house in the same order my mom always did, I have my cabinets arranged pretty close to how they were at my parents' house, etc.
