Y'all. This new milestone is more of a menace. It's killing our naptime. Make it stop!

Ahh...that sucks! Is she still learning how to sit back down? Best advice is to just leave her. Sometimes when I put my LO down he'll stand up and do a little dance but he sits/lies back down pretty quickly and goes to sleep.

@Sammyfab: She can't sit back down yet. She just stands there and cries until we rescue her. I've been waiting longer and longer in hopes that she'll figure it out. How long did it take your LO to learn how to sit?

@littlek: 8.5 months. She has been pulling up for a couple of weeks, but just this week realized that she can pull up from laying down.

@Weagle: I'd say it took him 2 weeks to sit back down without being really hesitant and whining for help. He's a really cautious baby though and he never really practiced skills in his crib. He wears a sleep sack for all sleep though...not sure if that deters him from moving around and playing.
Just keep practising sitting back down as much as you can throughout the day. How long are you leaving her?

DS did this once he was able to pull up. it lasted about 2 weeks during nap time in the beginning of the nap. now he just pulls himself up when he's up and done napping/sleeping.

@Sammyfab: Good to know. She's pretty cautious too, but always masters a skill in the crib before using it elsewhere. I never thought to use her sleep sack for naps. I'll try that this afternoon. She never tries to stand at night when she's wearing it. I usually leave her until her crying gets ramped up. Sometimes that's immediately, sometimes she'll stand there and play for 15 minutes.

@Weagle: Aww just curious... LO likes to stand but he isn't quite pulling himself up yet.

@littlek: Get ready! LO started pulling up, crawling, and cruising all in the same week
