DH and I are already starting to strategize how we're going to survive the first few weeks after LO arrives and he seems to think we can take turns feeding LO - me nursing and him using pumped bottles. I'm pretty sure this isn't possible at the beginning but don't know when it might be. This raises two questions for me:

*Do babies "unlearn" how to nurse directly off the breast? I have heard that early bottle-feeding can mess up their latch because they get 'lazy' since a bottle is so much easier. Have you guys found that to be true?

*I have also heard most new moms can't even pump a decent supply until month 2 or 3 because all their milk is going directly into baby! At what point did you all find you were able to start up a milk supply in the fridge or freezer?

Thanks!!

ETA: I told him as far as I know, most people split care up by mom nurses, dad changes diapers.. but he thinks that defeats the purpose since we'll both be awake..
