I don't understand them. What are they for - ease of feedings? What age ranges eat these and why would you use them?
I'm really just genuinely curious...they're a newish (past 5 years?) product, right?

I give them to LO when we are on the go and they are really convenient. She started eating from purée pouches around 7.5 months and she is now 1.

they are great for on the go, mess-free consumption of smoothies and purees. Kids love them and you can mix in veggies and fruits and get them to eat healthy without even realizing it. we love them. My LO is only 8 months but we already use these if I want to feed her solids when I am out of the home, so much easier than using a spoon

We started using them with DD around 1 year wheb she became super independent and refused to let us feed her. She didn't eat a lot of harder texture foods. At 2.5 she still eats fruit pouches, since they're healthy, convenient snacks for the road.
We started pouchs with DS at 7 months. They're much easier to pack than baby food containers (I make my own at home) and much easier to use on the road since he doesn't need a spoon and bib to eat them.

They're super convenient! I think the package say a 4-6 months, but the recommended age is 6 months (or when your LO shows signs of readiness/ when your ped gives an OK to start weaning).

They are super convenient for when you're out of the house. We still use a spoon with them, though. LO is 8 months, and she doesn't love eating solids as it is. There's no way we could either hold the pouch for her or let her hold it and us all stay somewhat clean.
