I am a SAHM and in the best case scenerio would like to stay at home full time until all kids are in school full time. Then I would consider going back part time but would never go back full time. But I am open to being flexible when life calls for it!

I don't plan on going back to work when my kids are in school but I will likely help my husband with his business more and be a crazy PTA mom

I have no idea... Part of me thinks I'll go back to work once all my kids are in school full time but another part of me isn't sure. I really enjoy the SAHM gig...but I would also like to be making money.

I am a SAHM for now. My background is in software engineering for the financial sector (banking, lending, and loans software). It was a very well paid job but everything comes with a price. It was demanding with long hours and constant traveling. I am surprised that I love being a SAHM so much because prior to this I was a workaholic and a social butterfly. I was also on the company's entertainment committee. My friends keep asking me if I miss the adult interaction and I really don't, not yet at least. I wonder if it's because I stay " connected" with other adults on IG and FB and texting?? LOL Anyway, I think it's because this journey to motherhood was not an easy one for me so I don't want to miss any moments with LO. I will go back when I find the perfect fit in daycare for LO...don't want to rush this one bit! Bittersweet.

I'm half and half between SAHM and working. In a couple months, I will be FT student. after I'm done, I will be working FT.
I honestly don't plan to ever be a full SAHM again.

I am thinking about taking a bit of a different approach to this.
I am currently a sahm but will be going back to work in a few months. LO is currently 13 months. I am thinking about going back to being a p/t sahm when my kids are in school full time. For me It feels more important to be there for them after school, help with homework etc. rather than now when his life is simpler if that makes sense!
It will depend on career progression and finances of course.

I do plan on going back. When? Not sure. I might do some part-time now that we have some help but I would still like to take my youngest to classes and hang out with him as much as I can. I hate to miss this age (he's almost 2)... so much fun and it goes by so quickly.

I'd like to go back to school PT evenings soon and then start working PT when the oldest is in school and youngest is eligible for toddler daycare. The second LO is still cooking but we are open to the idea of having a third so it all depends on that. In my field I can probably find something to work my own hours but I will need to keep up with school, so I'll plan to finish around the time that's I'd be looking for a permanent job.

I work part time ( 3 days, 9-5) and will hopefully continue to do that. After school programs seem so unorganized to me with the mixed age nature of them, so hope to limit as much as possible!

Ideally, I'll SAH indefinitely. My mom stayed at home even when we were in school, and she would volunteer at our school/do housework/cook/do errands during the day and that freed her up to just spend time with us when we got home from school and not have to be busy getting everything done in the evenings. If we can afford it, I would like to be in a similar situation!

I work two days (20hrs total) and am not sure if I will continue to do that or SAH when LO#2 arrives. I have a pretty sweet schedule though, so it would be hard to give it up and not know if I could find something similar down the road.
