Did you use an electronic or paper invite? Or something else?
Will you have people RSVP or regrets only?
When did you send your invites out? LO is a late December baby but her party will be in early January.

Just sent them out yesterday. Party is 11/23. Didn't include an RSVP, because we're having it at our house (have more than enough food planned) and have everything sized/counted to my invite list. If less show, then better for cleanup!
Was going to do an e-vite, but chose the invite since it's his first and wanted a keepsake, my designer friend did them for me

We did a Paperless Post invite and asked people to RSVP even though it was at our house since we wanted to know if we'd have 30 people or 60
Party was late August and we sent the invite out about 3 weeks ahead of time with a reminder to RSVP about a week ahead of time.

As a guest, I personally prefer regrets only OR an evite. I have too much crap going on to manage someone else's paper!
For my son's birthday, we have made phone calls.

@autumnlove: paper invites! I always recommend to clients to include an RSVP. regrets only is easier, but there's always a handful of people who forget to respond, and you end up having to check on people anyway.
i mail my invites about 4 weeks in advance, but if her party is going to be around the holidays i might do 5-6 weeks.

I've been ordering digital invites off of Etsy and emailing them. I print a few out for the ones that would like it on their fridge, since there's usually a pic of LO on it (grandparents, our siblings... basically immediate family).
Once the date is set, i usually call our immediate families and let them know right away... My mom usually spreads the word to other family members and I usually send the invites out about 4-5 weeks before.

We're doing paper invites mainly because my moms a calligrapher/paper artist, so it seems sillynot to use that! We're doing invites this week to send out next week and the party's Dec 7...
Most of the guest list is aware of the party date already though

I sent paper invites, I don't expect to do this in the future (evite or something) but for her first I wanted the keepsake.
I included an RSVP line on the invite and my phone/email with a date for two weeks before the party.
They were sent about 6 weeks in advance due to her birthday being over a 'local' holiday (university football homecoming hah) and because most people will travel to attend.

i did an evite and ask that people rsvp. i only have a handful of people to invite though since our families don't live near by. i sent it out about 4 weeks before the party which is coming up mid november!

We used paperless post and did electronic RSVPs that way. I sent them out about 3 weeks ahead of time but it was mostly our extended family so they had all gotten a little casual save the date email about 6 weeks out.

We did paper invites about a month and a half prior to the party. I just said to RSVP and we heard back from everyone.
