LO is going to church for the first time today. I always see parents with their babies in car seats at mass. But what to do with him when we go up for communion? Take him out and carry him? I wouldn't want to wake him up it he's sleeping. Or baby wear? Tag team going up?

we wore our kids in ergos the first few times at church. it helped them sleep and kept others from being grabby. but i think if you want to do the carseat thing, just alternate going up.

We've done the car seat in stroller and just took LO with us.

If she is sleeping in her cars eat we just bring the carrier up with us. Usually she starts fussing though so we take her out and carry her with us.

I've always seen a parent either carry the baby up with them, or one parent stay in the pew with the baby.

If she's sleeping in it during communion we take turns going up, if not I take her out and carry her with me.

We mostly wore LO, but our priest would walk over to new moms with sleeping babies in carseats after everyone else was through the line.

I hold LO throughout the mass. ( 2 mth)
